Places To Live

Places to Live is a social studies textbook designed for Grade 3. Written in story form, the lessons centre around an imaginary teacher and her pupils. In addition to studying seven countries, students also learn about houses, stores, and service workers in their own communities. Included is a study on maps, water and landforms, and the basic geography of Canada. A Grade Four textbook, Places to Work, is scheduled for 2010. (Waterloo-Wellington-Perth Parochial Schools)
