PrairieView Press is located in a small, quiet town, close to the Canada-United States border. We have shipping addresses in both Canada and USA.

The owner, Chester Goossen, has been with the business for over 30 years. The business began as primarily a printing company, but over 20 years ago, began publishing songbooks, beginning with some of the books still sold today, Precious Promises in Song and Christian Endeavor Songs series.

When Chester had a young family, his interests turned toward finding good reading material for his family. Thus began our mail order business; first of all reviewing the books for quality content, then offering them in our catalog to homes, schools and bookstores. Today we carry close to 2000 titles.

Chester’s son Chad is also part of the business, and he and his wife are raising their own family of potential readers! In summer of 2012 they moved to Elkton, Virginia and Chad is working for PrairieView Press from that location. Their family, and many of our staff and their families enjoy proofreading new books.

We are conservative Christians and belong to the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. We’ll gladly answer any questions you may have regarding our faith! You may also visit our denomination’s website for more information on what we believe and to order free gospel literature.

Our focus

We continue to look for quality, character-building good books to sell or reprint. This is quite involving, especially as we need to read about twice as many books as we accept! However, it has been, and continues to be, a very rewarding work. We feel strongly that good reading material is important in preserving biblical family values, and welcome your suggestions regarding the books we carry.

Our continuing focus in songbooks is to print and publish songs with sound spiritual content, with music that complements the message and is reasonably easy to learn and sing. Secular songs are included in songbooks designed for school or home singing.

We also enjoy helping a new author bring their inspiration to completion, whether it is a storybook or a songbook. We’re not just a printing shop; our aim is to work with you and provide our services in a way that will help you find publishing success!

Our bookstore is located in Canada at 625 7th Street, Gretna, Manitoba, where we keep in stock every book found on our website. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Come see us anytime!
