Jeri Ferris – Matthew Henson, a young black boy, works as cabin boy on the ship Katie Hines. When the captain dies, Matt is out of work. Then an explorer, Robert Peary, meets him and hires Matt for survey work. Will Matt get to go to the North Pole?
