Curse of the Narrows

Laura M. Macdonald – It was Dec. 6, 1917 in Halifax NS. A cold winter moring that started out in no unusual way. Little did anyone suspect the great disaster pending that would forever change their lives. The Mount Blanc a ship carrying highly explosive product was entering the harbor when a nearing ship, the Imo, failed to move over and collided with the Mount Blanc. The result was a great explosion that killed and injured thousands of people and wiped out sections of the city. It was day written down in history, never to be forgotten.
