Dusty

Thomas C. Hinkle – Dusty is a wolfhound pup who fell out of a travelling covered wagon and is raised by a gray wolf who lost her pups. His adoptive mother puzzles over some of his behaviours since he isn’t a wild dog and doesn’t seem to have the fear of man like her pups did. Once the mother dies he is left to fend for himself. Then young Matt Henderson comes on the scene and eventually captures and tames Dusty, who proves to be invaluable to him.
