Hans Peter Richter – Friedrich’s best friend thought he was lucky. They had a good home and enough money. In Germany in the 1930’s many were unemployed. Things began to change when Hitler came to power. Friedrich was expelled from school, and many more sad things happened. For Friedrich was a Jew. R:RC
