McCurdy and the Silver Dart


Les Harding – This story is about John Alexander Douglas McCurdy. He had quite a few names to choose from, but he went by Douglas. He was an inventor, and he came into contact with Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. In this book you will read how McCurdy and Bell and others worked on inventing the Silver Dart and other planes. He was owner of a factory in Toronto. He taught flying school and he died with lots of recognition.
