Rebecca Martin – This is the third book in the Eastward Trails Trilogy. The lives of the Mennonites in Russia are depicted. Forty years earlier a large number of them had immigrated to North America but some had stayed behind and this book spans the years from 1918-1920. The government has been overthrown by a man named Lenin who believes no land should be owned by individuals but by the government. This puts the Mennonites in danger of losing their property. A lot of unrest goes on and some leaders flee for fear of being taken and sent into exile in Siberia.
