Rebecca Martin–The Yoder family decides to pack up their belongings and board the train to what they feel will be a better life out west. Once they step off the train onto the windswept prairie of North Dakota, they realize that they all have lots to learn about homesteading this land. Eight-year-old Polly and her older brother Ben work hard helping their parents with planting garden, building a sod house and plowing the fields. They learn to trust God through prairie fires and a sudden blizzard, watching these hardships turn into valuable life lessons.
